What is Dye
Sublimation?
Dye Sublimation is a technique that allows us to
print full color images on a wide array of items
such as t-shirts, flags, mouse pads, mugs and
mouse pads. Solid dye particles are converted into
a gas using heat and pressure then are forced to
bond with the material they are dyeing and
converted back to a solid.
How does this differ from screen printing?
The dye is actually absorbed into the material as opposed
to sitting on top of the material as with
screen printing. Because of this only light colored
shirts can be used to Dye Sublimate. Dye
Sublimation must also be printed on material
that contains 100% polyester. The final difference
is the ability to print FULL COLOR with
no screen charges ad no minimums.
